Executive Summary

An iconic 45-storey commercial tower in the heart of Mumbai's financial district. Designed to be a LEED Platinum certified structure, it features a composite steel-concrete structure for column-free office spaces.

The Challenge

Constructing deep basements (4 levels) in the soft marine clay of Mumbai while protecting adjacent heritage structures from ground settlement.

The Solution

Top-down construction methodology was adopted to speed up the timeline. Diaphragm walls of 1.2m thickness were installed as retaining structures. High-performance self-compacting concrete (SCC) was used for congested reinforcement zones.
